A SPECIAL voters meeting will take place today, during the education hour to consider a Divine Call to Justin Woodside as Shared Assisting Pastor. The “Facilities Committee” will also reveal and explain a first draft of plans for expansion at Shepherd of the Valley. A joint meal and meeting will then take place on January 26 at Bethel Lutheran Church. The Pot Bless meal will begin at 12:15 with the joint voters meeting at 1:00 PM.

THE ANNUAL Winter Men’s Retreat will take place at Shepherd’s Hill at the Crossroads on Friday, January 17, 6:00 through 1:00 pm Saturday, January 18. The featured speaker will be Rev. Jeff Hemmer, author of “Man Up.” Rev. Hemmer will address the “Quest For Masculinity”. Cost for the retreat is $80.00 and includes three meals, lodging, and speaker. Sign up in the narthex or visit with Pastor Wolfgram if you’d like to attend.
SHEPHERD OF THE VALLEY will host the “Mercy In Action” conference on Saturday, February 29 from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Save the date and plan to attend as we highlight ministry opportunities and hear how lives are impacted as God’s people serve the Lord with gladness. You’ll meet Gideon, official Comfort Dog with Lutheran Church Charities and hear the amazing impact that Comfort Dogs have when people are in crisis. Rev. Adam Filipeck will present “Rich In Mercy”. Rev. Filipeck has served churches in NYC, Ferguson, MO, and Lidgerwood, ND. Zion Lutheran Church will share their IMPACT ONE mentorship partnership program with BHS and SOTV will highlight our partnership with Wachter Middle School and People Matter. Rev. Rick Jones, chaplain with Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, will share the impact of caring for children. Cost is $15 pre-registration or $20.00 at the door. Lunch will be provided.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT! Families, Fun, Food! Please join us for an evening of games on Friday , January 24th at 5:30pm. Bring your favorite game and snack (optional) to share.
