GIDEON Comfort Dog will be at Shepherd of the Valley for a pot-bless “Pet and greet” on Friday, February 28 at 6:00 PM.

“MERCY IN ACTION” is the theme for the conference that will take place in a few short days at Shepherd of the Valley on February 29. Plan to meet Gideon, official Comfort Dog with Lutheran Church Charities, Rev. Adam Filipek, pastor in Lidgerwood, ND and Chaplain Rick Jones from Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch as they share Christ’s mercy in their various settings. Representatives from Zion and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran will also share partnerships with the Public Schools in caring for individuals and families. Plan now to attend this exciting conference from 9-3 on Saturday. Lunch will be provided. The cost is $15.00 pre-registration or $20.00 at the door. “REMEMBER YOUR LEADERS, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.” Hebrews 13:7 will serve as the focus for our mid-week Lent services starting on Ash Wednesday. The Board of Elders will provide a soup and sandwich supper beginning at 6:00 pm prior to the Ash Wednesday service on February 26. Special services will take place each week at 7:00 pm focused on Old Testament leaders as highlighted in Hebrews 13. They include Abel, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and Moses.
