WE REJOICE THIS MORNING as we welcome our newest members to our fellowship of faith. They include Tyler, Samantha and Sophie Boespflug; Holly Schlank; Tyler, Lynn, Reagan, Paige, and Reese Spomer. We welcome you to our family of faith at Shepherd of the Valley.
AT SHEPHERD OF THE VALLEY LUTHERAN CHURCH we celebrate the Lord’s Supper in the confidence that we receive, along with the bread and wine, our Savior’s true body and blood “through and in which we obtain the forgiveness of sins.” Besides individually receiving Christ’s free gift of forgiveness in this sacrament, all those who commune make a confession of the faith that we believe and teach in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. To commune at this altar is to accept the doctrinal position of this congregation. Because of that common confession, we invite those who are members at sister Missouri Synod Churches to join us at the Lord’s Table. If you would like more information on our understanding of the Lord’s Supper, please visit with Pastor Wolfgram.

WE ARE GRATEFUL TO the Hosanna Hand Bell Choir as they enhance our worship services with joyful sounds lifted in praise to our victorious Lord.
HOPE MANOR – SOBER LIVING HOMES is our 2nd quarter focus for Human Care. Their mission is to provide an environment where people can apply the tools of recovery in a comfortable, safe and stable environment so that the individual has the opportunity to realize true freedom in sobriety.

ASCENSION DAY IS THURSDAY, MAY 30. We will gather with brothers and sister in Christ at Holy Cross Lutheran Church for a 7:00pm worship service. VBS students are invited to sing at this service along with VBS students from Bethel Lutheran Church. There will be no Wednesday service at Shepherd of the Valley on May 29.
THE NEXT HANG OUT will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 6:00 PM at Shepherd of the Valley. Join us for supper, fellowship, and Bible Study with Vicar Woodside.
CRISIS CARE CHAPLAINCY night with the Larks is Thursday, June 13. Tickets are $12.00 for bleacher ticket or $20.00 for bleacher ticket, hat, and all-you-can-eat Ballpark Food for 90 minutes.
