WELCOME!!  We are glad that you have joined us this morning as we lift up our hearts and voices in response to God’s great gift of forgiveness and life in Christ Jesus.  If you are a visitor, please sign our guest book and introduce yourself to Pastor Wolfgram.

WE ARE SUPPORTING “Christ’s Care For Children” in Kenya during the first quarter of 2019.  Christ’s Care for Children: Kenya is a child sponsorship program, initiated by the LCMS Office of International Mission. It is directly linked to the Project 24 sites in Kenya. It is through care and compassion for these children that they receive safe housing, food, education and spiritual care. Each site is strategically located near an Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kenya church and school so that the children can receive academic as well as spiritual teaching and care.

THE BOARD OF YOUTH is sponsoring a congregation sledding outing this afternoon at 1:30 PM.    We will gather at Tom O’Leary snow hill and then return to the church for refreshments.

MEN’S NETWORK will meet at Shepherd of the Valley on Saturday, March 10,  from 9:00-11:00 AM.  Join us for breakfast, Bible Study, and fellowship with men from our community.

SUMMER WILL BE HERE SOON.  An information for VBS 2019 will take place on Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 PM.  Carrie Harling and Samantha Henke are leading our VBS effort this year.  You may sign up on line to register you child or to volunteer to assist the VBS.

“I CAN ONLY IMAGE” will be shown on Friday night, March 15, for our congregation family movie night.  The movie begins at 7:00 PM.  Join us for an enjoyable evening of fellowship, food, and an inspiring movie.

Mayfest update!!

May 4th      Wachter Middle School Cafetorium      $20.00 person

As you know, the face of Mayfest is changing a bit this year.  We are at a new location that lends itself to being a bit more casual.  The great thing about our new venue and style is that we are able to make our tickets more affordable and provide affordable childcare, as well.

We are looking for donations for both the silent and live auctions, and we greatly appreciate the many the donations we have received in the past. However, because we will have limited space for the silent auction items in our new venue, we find that we’ll need to be a little selective. (This is hard for us to ask!)

What has done well at Mayfest are:

  • Camping, outdoors items, grills
  • Sporting gear.
  • NDSU, UND themed items
  • Small, kitchen appliance items
  • Spa/ luxury items
  • Gardening items
  • Gourmet food and beverages

What we would like to save until we have our fall event are handmade craft items such as quilts, crafts, jewelry, etc. These were extremely popular at our Pie Extravaganza this past fall, but maybe not so much at Mayfest.  We would also like to limit general clothing items since they are size specific and have a limited audience.

Attire is casual, and “galactic apparel” is welcome!

Tickets will be available at the school office.  You may purchase them at the school office or from your BMLSA church board member.

Look for continued Mayfest information each week, and May the fourth be with you!

Attention Crafters! Crafting for a Cause                        Martin Luther School     April 1st               6:30PM – 8:30PM

Participants will have the opportunity to create an 8’’x 12”, wooden, Easter sign with 12 chalk paint colors and 4 different stencil designs from which to choose.  (One example is shown)

Snacks and goodies will be available as you craft, as well and wonderful fellowship!

This event will be capped at 25 participants, so register soon to reserve your spot.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Martin Luther School to assist with Mayfest.

What a lovely craft to help us celebrate Easter!  (And spring!  It will get here—no foolin’!)
