WELCOME!! We are glad that you have joined us this morning as we lift up our hearts and voices in response to God’s great gift of forgiveness and life in Christ Jesus. If you are a visitor, please sign our guest book and introduce yourself to Pastor Les Wolfgram and Pastor Justin Woodside.
WE WELCOME Donna Miller, director of the Bismarck Women’s Care Center. Donna will share information about all of the services the Center provides to women and families in our community. She will offer her presentation during the education hour this morning. The Women’s Care Center is the charity that we are supporting with one percent of our offerings plus donations during the fourth quarter of this year. Please join us as we learn about all that the Lord is accomplishing through Women’s Care Center.
THE MIDDLE SCHOOL GATHERING scheduled October 22-24 at the Ramada has been cancelled. We still plan to hear from Bryan Young via Zoom on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm.
THE NEW STORAGE SHED is taking shape and will soon be complete. Thanks to Grayson Lawyer for his efforts to construct the shed as a part of his Eagle Scout project. We are still receiving donations to underwrite the cost of materials for the shed. Write checks payable to Shepherd of the Valley and write storage shed in the memo.
THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS will take place on November 1. In an effort to remember our loved ones who have died in the Lord, you may order and purchase a rose to celebrate their new and eternal life in Christ. The cost is $3.00 for each red long-stemmed rose that is purchased. During services on November 1, we will pause to remember and celebrate these loved ones with a parade of roses, honoring each person, one at a time. Please complete an order form and return it by October 25.
DUE TO COVID we are using single prepackaged treats for fellowship . Donations of treats or money in basket is appreciated. It cost around $15 for treats and coffee each Sunday. Thanks! Any questions: Cathy Sitter 400-5545 or Pam Dever 391-6332. Stewardship.
MARTIN LUTHER SCHOOL FALL 2020 AUCTION Martin Luther School will be hosting an online auction/sale/fundraiser. It will open Friday, 10/30/20, at 12:01 AM and run through Sunday, 11/8/20, at 2:00 PM. You will have an opportunity to bid on donated crafts, artwork, toys, tools, sporting goods, gift cards, and more. There may even be a few PIES up for auction! You can also make direct donations. Finally, you will be able to purchase t-shirts with the new “Lion” logo. The shirts are great for MLS students, parents, grandparents, and all supporters. More details in the coming weeks.
As the month of October starts, Martin Luther School is excited to begin plans celebrating and commemorating the Reformation. Along with celebrating the Reformation, MLS has always hosted a pie social where friends, families, and supporters of the school gather to eat pie, listen to performances from the children, and support the school through donations and/or purchasing baked goods and craft items. Part concert, part fellowship, part fundraiser, but always 100% FUN!!
Unfortunately, given the circumstances, the Board has decided it would be best to cancel the regular pie social. Instead, MLS will be hosting an online auction/sale/fundraiser.
Drive-through pickup of winning auction items will be Sunday, 11/8/20, from 3-6 PM. T-shirts will be available after they are printed. We will be accepting crafts/artwork/other items for the auction through 10/29/20. Contact your MLS school board representatives or Tom Langer at 202-5520.
Watch for more information coming out in future weeks including the website address and link for the auction. We will also have T-shirt order forms and donation slips available at each of the five LCMS congregations if you prefer to order/donate offline. Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase much needed replacement I-Pads and projectors (currently 7-8 years old). We hope to be able to gather with all of you in fellowship soon.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF MLS!

THE HUMAN CARE COMMITTEE is looking for donation for the LFP (Little Free Pantry). Over the last several months we have stocked the pantry with items that are most needed by the community. Because of this, our supply has been extremely low, and we are running out of supplies to keep the LFP stocked. This is a great outreach project for our Church as it helps feed those in need in the community. If you would like to simply fill the LFP every now and then, that would be wonderful. However, if you would like, you could purchase supplies that can be put on our LFP shelves in the coat room. These supplies are put in the LFP on a regular basis.
