WELCOME!!  We are glad that you have joined us this morning as we lift up our hearts and voices in response to God’s great gift of forgiveness and life in Christ Jesus.  If you are a visitor, please sign our guest book and introduce yourself to Pastor Les Wolfgram and Pastor Justin Woodside.

AT SHEPHERD OF THE VALLEY LUTHERAN CHURCH we celebrate the Lord’s Supper in the confidence that we receive, along with the bread and wine, our Savior’s true body and blood “through and in which we  obtain the forgiveness of sins.”  Besides individually receiving Christ’s free gift of forgiveness in this sacrament, all those who commune make a confession of the faith that we believe and teach in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.  To commune at this altar is to accept the doctrinal position of this congregation.  Because of that common confession, we invite those who are members at sister Missouri Synod Churches to join us at the Lord’s Table.  If you would like more information on our understanding of the Lord’s Supper, please visit with Pastor Wolfgram.

ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5, you are invited to join us as we set up the Christmas tree and decorate the church in preparation for the Advent and Christmas season.  We will gather at 9:30 am.  Plan to join in the fun as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

ON DECEMBER 13 youth from the congregation will be packing Christmas Care Packages for students at Wachter Middle School.  A list of items that are being sought is on the bulletin board near the coat room.  Please pull one or more tabs indicating your willingness to purchase items including combs, hats, gloves, and personal care items.  Thanks in advance for your support of this wonderful way of sharing Christ with those in need.

THE STORAGE SHED PROJECT will be wrapping up soon.  Shingles and doors are on order and will be installed when they arrive.  Thanks to all who have supported Grayson Lawyer with your financial contributions to help cover the cost of materials for his Eagle Scout project.  There remain outstanding expenses and gifts toward the project are welcome and very much appreciated.

ON DECEMBER 13, Shepherd of the Valley will recognize “Faith and Blue” as we support law enforcement.  Major Tom Iverson from the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be present during the education hour to tell us about his vocation as peace officer.

WE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT the Women’s Care Center during the fourth quarter with One percent of our offerings through our human care efforts.  Please remember the counselors and staff in your prayers as they provide life-saving care for women who are expecting a child.
